Counter Building

Healing in smite is always problematic if not dealt with in the right way, you step up and take a poke trade and everyone lives on 1hp. 15 seconds later they are all half HP and they get to make a powerplay on you. Healing comes in two big forms which is Combat Healing such as lifesteal where you need to deal damage to heal and Out of Combat healing such as Ra 3 or Sylvanus 2 where you can heal whenever. Smite has a global anitheal to anyone out of combat but that doesnt mean it isnt annoying. For in combat healing; like lifesteal you just need items such as Brawlers and Divine on your team, typically these are built on your mid/jungler but if you are diving as well and they havent got one they you will have to buy one of them. Out of combat is the largest problem newer players have because if you mess up an engagement you get punished if they come back to full HP. The best way of countering out of combat healing is the relic Ankh, It's a large AOE relic that applies a debuff on those getting healed, reduces their heals and with upgraded versions does even more. You need to be careful taking poke fights with heal gods and try to engage on those grouped for heals after teamfights with auras for your team. Heals work best by people being grouped which is why the new contagion and Pesitllence buffs get extra value. Examples of what to look for 'Healing'
